Algarve-style Cuttlefish: Submitted by: Amanda Brewer | Date Added: 26 Jan 2011
Listed in: Main Courses
Ingredients

1 1/3 lb cuttlefish
3 cloves garlic
1/2 green pepper
1 chilli pepper
1 small glass of white wine (3 1/2 fl oz)
1 tbsp olive oil
Salt to taste

Cooking Instructions

Wash and trim the cuttlefish and season with salt. Peel and finely chop the garlic. Place the garlic, the pepper cut into strips, the chilli pepper and the olive oil in ActiFry and leave to cook for 10 minutes.

Add the diced cuttlefish and leave to cook for 10 minutes. If you prefer the cuttlefish whole, increase the cooking time to 15 minutes. Add the white wine, stir and leave to cook for another 5 minutes.

Serve with tomato salad, boiled potatoes and garnish with coriander or chopped parsley (according to preference).

Traditional recipe typical of southern Portugal – Algarve. Instead of boiled potatoes, this dish may be served with French fries prepared in ActiFry.
