Latest Recipes1.5 Lbs of Ground Turkey
1 med Onion chopped
1 - 2 cups mixed frozen vegetables of choice. (I use carrots, peas, potatoes and corn).
1 Tbs butter
1 tsp Spanish Paprika
1/2 tsp Thyme
1/2 cup Beef Broth
1 tsp Worcestershire Sauce
1 Tbs Flour
Salt and Pepper as needed
1 1/2 - 2 Lbs Russet Potatoes if making traditional mashed potatoes. Note: I usually use IDAHOAN Real Premium Mashed Potatoes. As good as making from fresh potatoes. (This is the best instant mashed potato product out there in my opinion and is a time saver.). Make mashed potatoes with whatever method you like.
Steps
1 ) Add 1 Tbs butter and chopped onions to ActiFry. Sauté for about 5 - 10 minutes until tender.
2 ) Add Paprika and Thyme. Sprinkle over onions. Turn on to mix for 1 - 2 minutes.
3 ) Add carrots and turn on to mix for 1 - 2 minutes. (Note: I chopped fresh carrots that I partially cooked in microwave before adding to speed up cooking time. If using fresh uncooked carrots I would add with onions.)
4 ) Add Ground Turkey and spread all around and break up a bit. As the Turkey cooks the arm will mix and break up the ground turkey more. (Ground Beef can be used) Cook and set timer for 20 minutes. Check and cook until Turkey is no longer pink and cooked.
5 ) Add Salt and Pepper to taste. Add frozen Peas and Corn. Add Worcestershire Sauce and Beef Broth.
6 ) Sprinkle Flour over contents and you can mix to incorporate into all ingredients. Turn on ActiFry for about 10 minutes more to finish.
7 ) Make enough mashed potatoes for needed servings with your favorite recipe or as suggested. (Picture before adding mashed potatoes).
8 ) Place cooked Turkey and Veggies into individual baking dishes, or larger baking dish to served family style. Top with mashed potatoes and rough up potatoes with a fork so peaks will nicely brown. Heat in 400 deg. oven until mashed potato topping Browns. (About 20 - 30 minutes). You can broil for a few minutes if necessary to put a nice brown and crust on potato peaks.
9 ) Enjoy!
