Bourbon Gingerbread Wings: Submitted by: Eric Mucklow | Date Added: 10 Jan 2014
Listed in: Side Dishes / Snacks

2 pounds of Chicken Wings
1/2 cup Gingerbread flavored syrup (I got it at Starbucks, but you can use Maple Syrup as a substitute)
1/2 cup Kentucky Bourbon ...
1/4 cup Soy Sauce
1/8 cup Sun Dried Tomatoes, in oil, Julianne Cut
1/4 cup Corn Starch
2 ounces Cashews, crushed fine
1/2 tsp Curry Powder
Cinnamon and Black Pepper to taste

Cooking Instructions

Mix all ingredients but the wings and pour in a large bowl or gallon zip-lock bag and toss until wings are thoroughly coated. Scoop into ActiFry and fire it up for 30-40 minutes depending on the size of the wings until the wing meat starts to fall off the bone and it is no longer pink or translucent showing that it is fully cooked.

[This is a recipe I came up with for a Christmas Party that went over pretty well. I actually made double the recipe below, but the 4 pounds of chicken wings seemed like a bit too much for the ActiFry since wings rubbing against the top and got the lid and vent a little messy as they tumbled around.]
