Choose a recipe for your actual Actifry
Check the model, cooking arrangement and ingredient load before treating an air-fryer recipe as an Actifry recipe.
Start with the model, not the brand
An Actifry name on the front of an appliance does not tell you everything about its cooking arrangement. Find the model reference on the appliance label and use it to locate the matching manual. Keep a note of the model in your phone so you do not have to turn the appliance over every time you find a recipe.
When you browse this collection, the appliance label is the first thing to check. “Actifry” identifies a recipe from the paddle-cooking archive; it is not a promise that the recipe was tested in every Actifry. “Basket air fryer” and “Oven / grill” are separate methods. The appliance filter helps you avoid choosing a recipe that relies on equipment you do not have.
Read the whole method before preparing the food
Look for an upper tray, a temperature control, a named programme or an instruction to remove the paddle. Each can change whether a recipe suits your model. A removable part used during cleaning is not, by itself, permission to cook without it. Tefal specifically requires the paddle during cooking in its 1 kg, 1.2 kg and Mini Actifry guidance.
If a recipe needs a tray or container, confirm the approved arrangement in the manual before starting. Do not improvise a substitute that blocks the moving parts or airflow. If the arrangement is unclear, choose a recipe with a method that matches your appliance.
Plan the amount you will cook
Compare the recipe quantity with the food and liquid limits in your manual. Doubling a recipe does not double the size of the pan. Use the recipe quantity tool to work out ingredient amounts, then decide whether you need separate batches. Keep the batches separate in your plan rather than piling everything into the appliance.
Check which ingredients are added later. A recipe that starts with potatoes and adds chicken afterwards has a different sequence from one that cooks the chicken separately. Write down the stages if you find it hard to keep track while cooking.
Use the archive thoughtfully
We retain contributor names and original dates because they explain where a recipe came from. Those dates do not mean a recipe has been tested against a newer appliance. Specific missing details are held in the private content-review queue until they can be clarified. For repairs, parts and official instructions, use the Tefal support page rather than the recipe submission form.
